How can I improve the odds of the sender receiving the messages they send?

Some ISP's delete email coming from their clients, as they assume it is spam

On a typical Discussion Group message, the email address in the From Line is the person who sent the message. When we try and deliver that message back to the sender, some ISP's over react, and delete the message.

This feature will display your list address in the From Line, along with your sender's email address. The computers just see the list address in the From Line, thus bypassing their spam rules that apply to messages from their clients.

This option changes the email for the sender of the message, and for all other receipents at their domain name.

Most other subscribers on the list will see the email address of the sender in the From: header, like a normal mailing list.

For example, if a mailing list has

joe@abc.com

sally@abc.com

sue@abc.com

and joe sends a message to the mailing list, joe, sally and sue will all see the List Address in the From Header.

In addition, we will also change the From Header for any other domain that is hosted by the same ISP.

For example, if a mailing list has

joe@abc.com

sally@abc.com

sue@abc.com

fred@xyz.com

and both abc.com and xyz.com are hosted by the same ISP, and joe sends a message to the mailing list, joe, sally, sue and fred will all see the List Address in the From Header.

For example, maybe Google Docs or Outlook host both domain names.  Or maybe Mimecast is the spam filter for both domain names.

We have another option, that applies to all emails sent to all subscribers

The problem with setting the From: header as the Mailing List address, is that it's hard to reply back to the indvidiual who sent the message.

This option is only available if you have "Have List Address be in the From Header" turned off (that is, with this setting- From Address Is Individual Who Sent Message).

Click on "Customize Your List" and log into your mail-list account:

Most other list subscribers see the From: header as just the Sender's email address.
