How to know that your subscribers received your email
Email delivery can be haphazard, and sometimes you will want to know for sure that everybody on your list received your email. Here's a better way of knowing than asking people to reply.
When you send a message to your list, there is no guarantee that all your subscribers will get your message. For instance, their ISP could divert your message to the spam folder. Nor is there any guarantee that all your subscribers will read your message, even it if ends up in their email in-box.
If you want to know who is reading a particular email message, then you may ask your subscribers to click on a system generated URL in body of that email. When they do, their email address and the date and time of when they responded will be recorded in our system.
After a sufficient amount of time has passed to allow all your subscribers to respond, you can then ask our system for a list of who has and who has not acknowledged your request.
Here is an example of how you might use this feature:
This is how the email will look like to your subscribers:
The phrase rollcall-link-here is expanded to include their email address. Our system will wrap that link in angle brackets, so that email readers will not line wrap it. You might also tell them to copy and paste the link into their web browser, in case their email reader gives them any trouble with the long link.
