How do I add a subscriber to the vacation list so they can temporarily stop receiving messages?

You can either use our web interface or send a command via email to add a subscriber's email address to the vacation list.

Using Commands via email:

Add to Vacation List

To add an email address to your vacation list, use the command shown below:

ADDVACATION
subscriber@domain.com    (your subscriber's email address)

This command moves the subscriber's email address from your distribution list, to the vacation list.
All new list messages will not be sent to the subscriber until either:

  • Subscriber sends in a message to YourListName-vacation@mail-list.com, or
  • You send in a DELVACATION command.

Remove from Vacation List

To remove an email address from your vacation list, use the command:

DELVACATION
subscriber@domain.com    (your subscriber's email address)

This command moves the subscriber's email address from the vacation list, to the distribution list.
All future list messages will be sent to your subscriber.

Vacation List Report

To see the list of people on vacation (not currently receiving messages posted to the list), use the command:

SHOWVACATION

Remember, your subscribers can activate and deactivate with one quick email!
