How do I disapprove or annotate a message before it is posted to the subscriber list?
Overview of the process:

Using the web interface for this change:
Log into your mail-list account at https://database.mail-list.com.
- Click Customize Your List.
- Click Miscellaneous Settings.
- Click Moderate Messages.
- Click Approve Each Message Posted.
- Click Save.

How it works:
- Your list receives a new email.
- The message is assigned a serial number and saved in our system queue.
- An approval email is sent to you.
- If you approve the message, simply click Reply and Send.
- The message will be released from the queue and sent to your subscribers.
- If you do not approve the message, do one of the following:
- Ignore the message. It will automatically be deleted in 30 days. OR
- Click Reply. In the Subject Line, change APPROVE to DISCARD. Click Send. The message will be deleted from our queue.
- The original sender of the message is not notified of the disapproval.

Delete and unsubscribe option:
- If you do not approve the message and also want the sender removed from your list, do the following:
- Click Reply. In the Subject Line, change APPROVE to UNSUB. Click Send.
- The message will be deleted from our queue.
- The subscriber will be removed from your list.
- Click Reply. In the Subject Line, change APPROVE to UNSUB. Click Send.
Add a Moderator's comment to bottom of message:
- If you approve but want to add a comment before the message is sent, do the following:
- Click Reply. In the Subject Line, change APPROVE to COMMENT.
- In your Reply email, delete the body of the message.
- Add your thoughts/comments in the email body.
- Click Send.
Our system will add your thoughts/comments as a "Moderator's Comment" at the bottom of the message before sending to your subscriber list.
Add a Moderator's comment to top of message:
- If you approve but want to add a comment before the message is sent, do the following:
- Click Reply. In the Subject Line, change APPROVE to INTRO.
- In your Reply email, delete the body of the message.
- Add your thoughts/comments in the email body.
- Click Send.
Our system will add your thoughts/comments as a "Moderator's Comment" at the top of the message before sending to your subscriber list.
Disapprove the message and send an explanation to the Sender.
- If you do not approve the message and want to explain why to the sender, do the following:
- Click Reply. In the Subject Line, change APPROVE to REJECT.
- In your Reply email, delete the body of the message.
- Add your text explaining why the message was disapproved.
- Click Send.
The sender's original message will not be sent to your subscriber list. Instead, the sender will receive a rejection email from our system with your reasons for disapproval.

When using the commands COMMENT, INTRO or REJECT, be sure to delete the email body in your Reply email.
