How can I improve the odds of getting all the email delivered into the inboxes of my subscribers?
Have List Address be in the From Header
Having the sender's email address in the Address Book greatly increases the odds of messages from your list going into the Inbox. On a typical Discussion Group message, the email address in the From Line is the person who sent the message. It's not easy to have your subscribers add every other subscriber's email address to their Address Book.
This feature will display your list address in the From Line, along with your subscriber's email address. The computers just see the list address in the From Line, so everybody can add that address to their Address Book. People will see both addresses, and recognize who the message is from.
Click on "Customize Your List" and log into your mail-list account:
Click on "Have List Address be in the From Header" under "Miscellaneous Settings":
Toggle the radio button to choose "From Address Is List Address"
Save your settings.
When the message comes to the subscriber's inbox, they see
The computer saw the address in the angle brackets <email@example.com>, which is the list address.
Note that some email readers depend on the address in the From: header for grouping and threading
Certain mail clients have trouble with this option because they were not clearly showing who was the sender of the message.
Certain mail clients (like Unibox) rely heavily on the From Address to determine how to group/ungoup email addresses by sender in the UI. With this option on, messages were all getting lumped together in a single group in such clients.
The "Have List Address be in the From Header" option does solve the problems caused by the DMARC Anti-Spam Setting used by some Providers
So if you are seeing these sort of error messages, you can turn on the above option to solve this problem.
