How to make your Welcome Message come from your personal email address
Traditionally, when people signed up for a mailing list, and got back a Welcome message, it would come from the mailing list administrative email address.
If the new subscriber replied to the Welcome Message, they would get back a Help message from the Listserve, and the List Moderator would never see the new subscriber's message.
The default setting on new lists is to have the Welcome Message come from the mailing list address
So you will not see any replies. And the subscriber does not know your personal email address.
You can change the From: header of the Welcome Message
So that new subscribers know your email address and can reply and start a conversation with you.
We are using the email address in the Your Primary Email Address field
You can also use the List-Owner Alias
This will allow replies to come back to you, and all other additional list moderators.
But, the new subscriber will not know your personal email address.
The Welcome message is sent from firstname.lastname@example.org
