How do I ensure that a message was posted by my subscriber and not a spammer?

A spammer may spoof your subscriber's email address, and post a message to your list without the knowledge of your subscriber.

You can prevent this by turning on a feature in your account settings so that each time a subscriber posts a message to your list, they will be sent an email back from our system with a link to confirm if the actually want to post a message. Once they click on the link, the message will be posted. This is also called Self Moderation.

You can turn this option on, and then manually  add the email addresses of the subscribers you want to protect.

Or you can turn on the Automatic option, and our system will automatically build your list from subscribers who have not posted in a while.

Log into your Mail-List.com account from https://database.mail-list.com and click on "Customize Your List".

Click on "Miscellaneous Settings" and then on "Have Subscribers Moderate Their Own Messages":
