You can set up a message one time, and have it sent to your list automatically on the first day of each month.

Login in to your list, and choose the Customize Your List button

Set the field to Yes

Click on the field - Monthly Reminder To Your List

Create your message, and this text will be in the body of the email that is sent out on the first of every month.
