How to pause your Mailing List

From time to time, you may want to put your mailing list on hold.  Some groups prefer to pause the mailing list during the holidays, for example.

This option will allow you to customize a message and have it returned to anyone that tries to post a message while your mailing list is paused.

Step 1 - Customize the Help Message

Step 2 - Pause Mailing List and Return Help Message

  • Click Customize Your List.
  • Click Posting Messages to List.
  • Click Pause Mailing List and Return Help Message.
  • Click Yes.
  • Click Save.

What Happens Next?

Next time someone sends an email to your Mailing List, they will receive your Help message notice about the List being "paused".
