How to expand trimmed messages.
Gmail has a feature that hides the bottom part of long messages, especially in Replies and Digests. You cannot turn this feature off. Instead, you can click a button to expand the entire message.
What will a trimmed message look like?
Example 1
A small, grayed-out box with 3 dots may appear in the middle of the message.

Example 2
The words [Message clipped] View entire message may be listed.
![Or if you see [Message clipped] View entire message](https://media.screensteps.com/image_assets/assets/004/163/837/original/media_1411403607801.png)
What do I do?
Click on the grayed-out box with 3 dots or click View entire message to expand the hidden text.
You can also collapse the extra text by again clicking the 3 dots.
