Plain Text Email: Formatting Problems
If you send paragraphs of text where the only carriage return is at the end of each paragraph, then your Subscriber's email software may decide to format the message differently than how you sent it.
NOTE: A carriage return is inserted when you hit Enter or Return on your keyboard.
Example - what you send
For example, you send this paragraph with just one carriage return at the end.
It looks fine in your email software.
Example - what the receiver sees
When your Subscriber sees the message, it might look like this
You want to be sure that each line ends with a carriage return, and the line length is not too long.
In the above example, the paragraph has a carriage return after approximately 70 characters. Now, your Subscriber will see the same thing that you see.
